IPM/Biologicals
MidAmerican’s IPM Program is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. The program focuses on the use of Beneficial Insect populations to prevent any pest infestations, in leu of potentially dangerous synthetic chemicals. A top-of-line breeding program allows these populations to be bred on-site within the state-of-the-art breeding room that was completed in 2018.
ECA Systems
ECA stands for Electro-Chemical Activation. This is used in our Mother Stock and Young Plant production. So our entire standard production and all Farmer clones. ECA is a patented technology first invented in Russia-activation process uses water, salt and electricity. Basically, the unit increases the electric charge of the water to the point microbes can’t survive.
